Posey Hill
Who is Posey Hill?
Doug Burnett grew up playing in bluegrass bands throughout Arkansas in the late 70s-80s before becoming a dad to Kristian, Erin, and Megan. The girls grew up listening to their dad write music on his old ’54 Gibson so it was only a natural progression that they would follow suit.
Starting out as a bluegrass band, Posey Hill played places like Silver Dollar City in Missouri, Rockygrass in Colorado, Leander Bluegrass Festival in Texas, and countless venues around Arkansas. Exploring their original music led them to a broader scope of sound, pulling from the rock, country, and blues Doug raised the girls on.
Posey Hill showcases a beautiful blend of intricate harmonies and heartfelt songwriting drawing from all kinds of influences such as Fleetwood Mac, Emmylou Harris, Dolly Parton, The Eagles, Bonnie Raitt, The BeeGees, Otis Redding, Bob Dylan, Tyler Childers, Turnpike Troubadours and countless others. Genre-bending is their specialty; appealing to a wide variety of music lovers.
